OOTD | CRYSTALS

I wanted to center today's look around this eye-catching crystal necklace from Glint & Gleam at Shoplately.com. The necklace in itself is such a statement that the best way to keep this look balanced was to let the rest of the clothing items to be simple or neutral. Using a white t-shirt as a backdrop I was able to display this necklace in a fashion that stands out. i like how the necklace displays a spectrum of colors when it is hit by light. The design of the necklace is also appealing to the eyes and it got me many compliments throughout the day.

Still I added some more structure to the look by playing with the other complimentary colors within the outfit. I purposely matched the jeans to the ivory jacket (notice how the cutouts match exactly the color of the jacket) to add a different twist. And for the shoes I also used the neutral technique by wearing a pair of tan wedges that closely match my skin tone to give the illusion of having longer legs.
