For those of you who follow me on my other social media this announcement is old news. But I still wanted to announce it here on my blog after I received my engagement photos back. You guys, my followers, have been witness of the start and overall growth of our love journey. And I couldn't be happier to share such an exciting part of our life with you all. Thank you all for the good wishes thus far! We hope that our love can inspire others to love faithfully as well.
We had our shoot at Matheson Hammock Park in Miami. Our wonderful photographer, Alisa, from Blackbird Foto made us feel comfortable and allowed our personalities and chemistry as a couple to shine through the photos.
As for our outfits I decided to style a casual look and a formal look. With the casual look they key is to stay away from being too matchy-matchy with your partner. Its good to wear something that you're both comfortable in. I figured a skirt would be flow well in photos. And that my fiancé would feel most comfortable in shorts, which he wears often.
In contrast for our formal look we chose to use complementary Spring colors. Because we were shooting at a park we did not want to look too fancy so that we could blend well in the nature setting. Think formal luncheon at a park! My dress was the appropriate length but at the same time it had some nice cutouts that did not make me feel too hot or constricted. And for my fiancé to pull off the formal look, long sleeves were necessary but the trick was to choose a convenient fabric. That is why I purchased a linen long sleeve shirt for him to wear.
Love,
Sheyla ♥
